What We Are

1. AASO’S GOALS for Licensed Security officer members are to:  

  • Provide Security Officers training courses
  • Be recognized as First Responders
  • Work with state legislators to pass a law that anyone who threatens Security Officers while on duty will be charged with a Felony
  • Provide assistance, if hurt or died while on duty, such as: medical bills co-pays, emotional support network, funeral costs and collectively provide retirement benefits
  • Be, the voice of those who dedicate their lives to providing private security to our communities as the United States of America largest organization of Licensed Security Officers
  • Commit to improving the working conditions of Licensed Security Officers, Safety of Security Officers and those we serve, through Education, Legislation, Information, Community Involvement and Employee representation  

2.AASO’s COMMITMENT united in:  

  • Promoting and fostering, in conjunction with Law Enforcement and the Legislator, the respect of individual and collective security within the parameters of the law, Order and Safety of the individuals or businesses or entities our members serve  
  • Improving individual and collective proficiency of our members in the performance of their duties to encourage Fraternal, Educational, Charitable and Social activities among Licensed Security Officers  
  • Supporting the improvement of the standard of living and working conditions of the Licensed security officer profession through every legal and ethical means available  
  • Abiding by the law and cooperating with law enforcement to cultivate a spirit of brotherhood and mutual helpfulness among our members  
  • Increasing efficiency of the licensed security officer’s profession and thus more firmly increase the confidence of the public in the service dedicated to providing security to private individuals, communities, businesses, Government and being of support to Law Enforcement to the best of their knowledge and professional ability  

3. AASO’s VALUES as an association and as individuals, are above all else:

  • Honesty, Integrity, Unselfishness, Professionalism, and Mutual Respect
  • Dedication to support all those activities whereby personal development can flourish, including Training and Education, so that our members can provide the highest quality of Security services
  • Help in gathering, organizing and sharing such information as might be helpful to our members in the performance of their duties.
